What She Said (2025) is a psychological horror/thriller short film following a young couple who become the centre of a mysterious and increasingly unsettling curse surrounding the impending birth of their child.
The original film score draws inspiration from the psychological tension and evolving musical language of Joker (2019). The score uses shifting tempos, recurring motifs and changes in musical intensity to reflect the characters’ emotional states and developments on screen.
Musical ideas were deliberately adapted throughout the film, using dissonance to reinforce moments of unease, tension and psychological instability, creating a score that evolves alongside the narrative.
